All Salons Are Not Created Equal

Ok… you go to the salon needing a trim but they gave you a hair cut instead. Or you went to the Dominican Salon for a blowout. It looked nice but a week later you realized you have extreme heat damage. And as a result you decided “I’m never going back to the salon again. I’ll just do my own hair from now on”. Although there’s nothing wrong with taking on the task of treating and styling your own hair, there are a few things our hair needs in order for it to flourish that we just shouldn’t attempt to do on our own. Especially if we’ve never been professionally trained. Listen, all hairstylists are not created equal. Our professional experience, styling techniques and products we use are all different.  So for those essential hair care needs critical to maintaining healthy hair, seek a professional. Ask a friend for a referral or take a little time to do some research to find a salon and hairstylist that will be a good fit for you. Don’t be one of those people that only come to the salon 3 times a year asking why your hair isn’t growing. Maybe it’s because you don’t know what you’re doing.
